A True Family-Owned Business for 3 Generations
Our owner, Peter Consigli, and his family have been involving in the monument industry since 1926, when his grandfather, John Etzo Consigli, founded the business. Peter's grandfather passed away in 1929 when stone dust got into his lungs while trading. Peter's uncle, Raymond, took over the business, and his father, Edward, joined the business after serving in the Navy.
Raymond and Edward, the Second Generation
Over the years, Peter's older brother, Jack, joined the company when Peter worked for his dad and uncle. In 1990, his uncle passed away.
In 1990, Peter's mother, Muriel, started helping the business with the bookkeeping, and later on, with the customers. As time passed, they extended the product offering by installing custom granite and marble countertops, as well as landscaping needs such as granite steps, benches, and mailbox posts.
Joined by the Third Generation
In the late 1990s, Peter's sister's sons, Robbie and Joshua Marshall, and Peter's brother's son, Joe Consigli, soon joined the business and were able to spend time with both Peter and his father. Peter and his father blessed to have extra time with the kids and got to know them better. Peter and his father worked and were able to save for college.
In the 2000s, Peter's daughter, Kali, and three sons, Matt, Jeff, and John, worked in the shop. It has been both fun and challenging to work with the kids. They may tell you differently.
Peter lost his father, Edward Consigli, in 2004. He was a good soul, had a quick wit, and was a great man to be around. Being in a family business, Peter has had past customers come in to tell him what a great guy his father was. Those remembrances are blessings for Peter.
